Dedicated transformer portfolio for nuclear industry applications with highest standard in quality and precision

At the 20th edition of Energy & Transformers Days in Miami, United States, Hitachi Energy launched TXellence, its world-class portfolio of transformers specially engineered for the evolving needs of nuclear power generation.

As the world moves toward a cleaner and more resilient energy future, nuclear energy is poised to play a critical role. TXellence will set the standard for transformer reliability and excellence in nuclear applications and supports this transition with a full range of technologies spanning all types of transformers. This includes power, distribution, dry-type, liquid-filled, conventional, and digitally enabled solutions engineered for the specialized demands of nuclear power plants.

TXellence transformers serve critical functions across the nuclear plant life cycle – from grid interface and auxiliary services to backup systems and emergency shutdown. Each solution is designed to comply with international nuclear codes, standards, and customer-specific requirements.

Rooted in the company’s vast experience of over 50 years in delivering transformer solutions to leading nuclear energy operators across the world, the key values of TXellence include engineering excellence and precision. This is rooted in deep nuclear expertise, safety, and reliability at every design, manufacturing, and operation level. Uncompromising quality in materials and execution, consistent performance under the most demanding conditions, thousands of operative years’ experience, and proven reliability are validated in real-world installations across all continents.

TXellence reflects our commitment to meeting the world’s growing demand for a safer, more reliable, and sustainable nuclear energy infrastructure. It is grounded in proven field performance, enabled by our global factory footprint, and driven by the same values that define our leadership in transformer technology.
