In his keynote, Bruno Melles, Managing Director of Business Unit Transformers, Hitachi Energy, emphasized the critical elements of making the energy transition happen. "Making the energy transition a reality requires substantial investments, strategic approaches to operational excellence, and real innovation. Financial commitments, efficient operations, and cutting-edge technologies are essential in achieving our energy transition goals."
Representing excellence in transformers for nuclear power generation
On the first day of the event, Hitachi Energy announced the launch of TXellence, a world-class portfolio of transformers exclusively designed for nuclear energy applications, offering the most reliable transformer solutions.
With the global push for a cleaner and more resilient energy future, nuclear energy is well-positioned to make a significant impact. In support of this transition, TXellence comes with a full range of technologies across various types of transformers, including power, distribution, dry-type, liquid-filled, conventional, and digitally enabled solutions tailored for nuclear power plants.
Valuable insights, engaging discussions
Almost 200 customers from 30 countries, including the United States, gathered for this year’s Energy & Transformer Days, reaffirming its position as a global platform for advancing the energy transition. Representing key sectors – utilities, renewables, data centers, and industry – attendees engaged in meaningful discussion and collaboration.
At the exhibition area, customers and partners explored Hitachi Energy’s transformer portfolio through an immersive Augmented Reality (AR) experience. This included our EconiQ® portfolio, TXpert™ transformer monitoring, digital monitoring system (MSM), gas-insulated switchgear, dead tank circuit breaker, and distribution transformers.
Aside from Hitachi Energy’s interactive exhibition, the event also featured high-level keynotes, expert panel discussions, and technical lectures, joined by industry leaders and experts.
One of the well-received sessions, led by Suhel Patel, Global Product Manager, Distribution Transformers, Business Unit Transformers, and Miguel Osuna Perez, Industry Network Leader for Data Centers, Business Unit Transformers, focused on advanced transformer solutions – essential for powering today’s data centers with reliability, scalability, and intelligence. The presentation showcased Hitachi Energy’s portfolio of medium-voltage transformers and highlighted how key challenges are addressed to enable resilient and future-ready power infrastructure.
Powerful testimonials from customers, partners, and distributors underscored our shared commitment to building a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
