Hitachi Energy delivered a comprehensive solution that addressed Jorf Lasfar's challenges and modernized their generator protection system:

  • Advanced Protection: Replaced outdated relays with Hitachi Energy's state-of-the-art REG670 generator protection relays and SAM600 process interface units, enhancing system reliability and functionality.
  • Enhanced Availability: Extended the existing protection redundancy to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Strengthened Safety: Advanced protection features and redundant architecture enhance the safety of both personnel and equipment, aligning with TAQA Morocco's commitment to a safe working environment.
  • Digital Substation Integration: Incorporated digital substation technologies like process bus communication, improving system monitoring and protection.
  •  Comprehensive Support: Provided expert engineering, on-site training, and commissioning services to ensure a smooth transition and optimal system performance.
  • Comprehensive Documentation for the Future: Hitachi Energy created digital as-built documentation for the newly installed system, including schematics, configurations, and operating procedures, ensuring smooth maintenance, future upgrades, and knowledge transfer for TAQA Morocco personnel.

Through our collaboration, TAQA Morocco has successfully modernized Unit 2, reinforcing the plant's efficiency, safety, and long-term reliability.
