The opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead for GCB tendering team to join our dynamic team at Hitachi Energy Ltd. In this role, you will lead a group of GCB tendering managers, drive performance, manage daily sales operation and play a key part in achieving ambitious maintenance sales growth. How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead, mentor, and coach GCB tendering team members to achieve and exceed team and individual sales targets
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings to provide constructive feedback, identify training needs, and support professional development
  • Recruit, onboard and develop of new team members
  • Elaborate and implement effective sales strategies to increase GCB maintenance market penetration and drive sustainable service order growth
  • Coordination and active pursuits of quotations/tenders. Ensure professional quotations within the required timeline, provide technical/commercial clarification, follow negotiations till booking the orders and handover to Order Management team in an efficient way.
  • Ensure consistent development and implementation of sales tools such as Configure Price Quote (CPQ) platform with its process guideline and practices; Continuously improve the sales tools and process with the target of standardization, efficient end-to-end process and improved speed in quotation time in the GCB tendering team.
  • Monitor the GCB maintenance sales pipeline, forecast results, and provide regular performance reports and market intelligence to management
  • Support in developing innovative and customer-oriented GCB maintenance service solutions and proactively drive their market introduction
  • Collaborate with LSU sales team, and internal functions to align sales efforts with company objectives
  • Stay informed about GCB market trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to refine strategies and proactively share information with internal stakeholders.

Your background

  • Senior Professional with international business experience and a proven track-record in GCB business
  • 5 years’ experience in sales, technical sales or business development
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of sales methodologies, account management, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and analytics
  • Excellent leadership, cross-cultural communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to inspire, influence and develop a high-performing team
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong customer focus and result-oriented personality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • English on negotiation level, other languages (e.g. German) are a plus
