SCM Change Management and Continuous Improvement Manager (f/m/d)

The Opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, we are shaping a more sustainable energy future and our supply chains play a critical role in making that happen. As SCM Change Management and Continuous Improvement Manager, you will take on a global role where your work truly matters: embedding regulatory requirements into scalable, end‑to‑end SCM processes, driving continuous improvement, and enabling modern, data‑ and AI‑ready ways of working. If you are motivated by creating lasting impact beyond individual projects, this role offers a unique opportunity to do so at global scale.

You will play a global role within our Change Management and Continuous Improvement (CMCI) organization, strengthening SCM regulatory compliance by embedding regulatory requirements into scalable, end‑to‑end SCM processes reused across regulations such as EUDR, CBAM, and other ESG‑related requirements. You will drive continuous improvement and digital enablement, simplifying processes, reducing manual effort, and enabling data‑driven and AI‑ready ways of working in close collaboration with data, digital, and IT teams. In addition, you will support change adoption, capability development, and knowledge management, ensuring sustainable implementation across Business Units and Functions. This role will report to the Head of SCM Change Management & Continuous Improvement and join an international CMCI team shaping the future of supply chain management at Hitachi Energy.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable SCM regulatory compliance processes that are reusable across regulations and Business Units
  • Shift regulatory compliance from project‑based delivery to standardized, end‑to‑end SCM processes embedded in operations
  • Embed compliance‑by‑design through technology‑enabled monitoring, controls, and escalation mechanisms
  • Support internal and external audits through robust process design, clear governance, and audit‑ready execution
  • Drive change management and enablement to ensure SCM teams and suppliers are ready for evolving regulatory requirements
  • Deliver measurable efficiency, quality, and resilience improvements by simplifying processes, strengthening adherence, and reducing manual effort
  • Identify and eliminate recurring root causes from audits, incidents, and operational data to prevent repeat issues
  • Collaborate with CSS Service Excellence and Celonis CoE to enable data‑driven, automated, and AI‑ready process improvements
  • Partner with Data Governance, IT Enablement, and Business Innovation teams to enable analytics, intelligent monitoring, and decision‑making
  • Support functional capability development and knowledge management by translating regulatory and process requirements into structured, reusable learning and knowledge assets

Your Background
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in supply chain operations, regulatory environments, process excellence, or transformation roles within complex, global organizations
  • Experience working in regulated, audit‑intensive, or governance‑driven environments
  • Ability to operate at Manager or Senior Professional level, managing complex initiatives with a high degree of autonomy
  • Experience with compliance technology, data analytics, process mining (e.g. Celonis), and digital traceability solutions
  • Familiarity with ERP / SCM systems (e.g. SAP / S/4HANA) is an advantage
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
