The opportunity
At Hitachi Energy, our purpose is advancing a sustainable energy future for all. We are looking for a dedicated Service Team Leader to join our Service organization in Belgium. In this leadership role, you will supervise and guide a team of service professionals, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery to our customers.
You will play a key role in driving team performance, resolving complex technical issues, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This position offers the opportunity to combine leadership with technical expertise, contributing directly to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
How you’ll make an impact
Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of service technicians and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Allocate and manage team workloads to ensure timely and effective completion of service requests and projects.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the service team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Act as an escalation point for complex customer issues, providing technical guidance and problem-solving expertise.
Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and support professional development for team members.
Ensure adherence to Hitachi Energy’s service standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, engineering) to optimize service delivery and enhance customer experience.
Prepare and present service reports to management, highlighting team achievements and operational challenges.
Manage service-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new service team members.
Coordinate the Stand-by Service.
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical service role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
Fluency in Dutch is required; English proficiency is a strong advantage.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a technical service team.
Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, ideally with experience in electromechanical systems, IT solutions, or industrial machinery.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Proficiency in service management software and tools.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to service operations.
