R&D Project Manager

Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact.

We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.

How you’ll make an impact

1. You will lead R&D project of High-power converter development and play a critical role to ensure the successful execution of the R&D project with following responsibilities.

2. You will set-up and execute R&D project together with project team in alignment with our R&D portfolio management and cross-functional stakeholders.

3. You will develop detailed time plan, schedules, project estimates and resource plan, drive the implementation of the project backlog in a transparent and efficient way and ensure quality and timeliness of releases.

4. You will conduct risk analysis and drive implementation of mitigation measures. 

5. You will collect and clarify requirements and drive prioritization with multiple stakeholders.

6. You will collaborate with other development teams, Manufactures, testing facilities, Stakeholders, Product Owners, Line management during project execution. 

7. You will be a part of R&D Project Management Office where you the possibility to support the R&D organization in continuously improving the processes and ways of working towards increasingly lean and agile methods.

8. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You hold a university degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in electrical engineering or similar.

2. More than 3 years of project management experience in leading product development projects related to power converters, high voltage electrical equipment.

3. Drive the implementation of the backlog in a transparent and efficient way and ensure quality and timeliness of releases.

4. Responsible of scope definition, budget estimation and planning of the different R&D projects.

5. Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams in multi-site global environment.

6. To thrive in this position, you are a good team player, structured, open-minded, communicative and enjoy working together with people from all over the world.

7. Most important, as a person you have a passion for people and technology. 

8. Proficient in English since you will be part of an international setting where you will get to exchange knowledge with people globally.
