Business Process Owner – Technology and Applications

Mission Statement:

The mission of P&A QOCI team at Hitachi Energy is to provide accurate insights for in-depth business performance analytics to support business decisions through data analysis, automated performance reporting & predictive analytics within the agreed KPI's to be followed at Hitachi Energy level.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Platform Ownership: Manage and oversee the AI, Footprint, and Maps platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and alignment with evolving business strategies.
  • Project Delivery: Define and implement robust IT Service Management and project management practices for digital and analytics initiatives.
  • AI-Powered Insights: Translate operational challenges into scalable, AI-driven solutions—from concept to adoption—delivering measurable impact.
  • Transformation Pipeline: Develop and maintain a digital transformation roadmap, prioritising high-value initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Solution Design Partnership: Collaborate with IT and vendor teams to define solution architecture, data models, and analytics approaches that address critical business needs.
  • Cross-Functional Projects: Lead cross-BU improvement projects by applying AI/ML techniques to enhance process efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Project & Program Leadership: Strong track record in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives—delivering on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Operational Excellence: Skilled in structured problem solving, process optimization, and driving measurable improvements in quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proficient in executive communication and stakeholder management across business units, geographies, and cultural contexts.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams—fostering ownership, collaboration, and a culture of excellence.
  • Change Management Expertise: Extensive experience in managing large-scale organizational and technology transitions with a focus on adoption and sustainability.
  • Strategic & Hands-on Leadership: Combines strategic vision with operational execution, aligning initiatives with business priorities and long-term goals.
  • Governance & Performance Management: Adept at establishing governance frameworks, KPIs, and decision-making processes that enable accountability and transparency.
  • Culture of Improvement: Committed to building and nurturing a mindset of continuous improvement and data-informed decision-making across teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background: 

  • A master’s degree or professional Qualifications.
  • 15+ years of successfully leading continuous improvement and digital transformation &
    AI programs across global operations.
  • Change management and continuous improvement.
  • Multiple stakeholder management, cross functional and across business lines.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
