Hitachi Energy Hefei Transformer Co., Ltd was established in Dec. 1992 which was the first transformer manufacturer invested and built in China by Hitachi Energy. The new facility located in economic development zone was constructed and operationalized in 2009 with total investment of 49.99 MUSD and 29 MUSD in registered capital. It covers an area of 50,000 square meters and has 350 employees working for three operation centers including Distribution and Power Transformer, Power Components and Transformer Service.
The company owns comprehensive management system including the certificates of ISO9001 quality management system, ISO14001 environment management system and ISO45001 occupational health and safety management system. Furthermore, the company has achieved Level Two of safety and quality standardization in mechanical industry and obtained certificate of the China Energy Conservation Product Certification (CECP), and was awarded the title of National Green Factory in 2026.
The rich portfolio of Distribution and Power Transformer operation center covers distribution transformer, power transformer, pad-mounted transformer, converter-driven transformer and etc. intended to fulfil the application demands in various segments including utility, renewable energies, cement, metallurgy, shield, chemical, oil and gas, We're aiming to supply customers with greener and more reliable and digitalized solutions.
The Transformer Component operation center was established in 1996, which is one of the manufacturing factories with the most comprehensive component products of the group. Equipped with four internationally advanced production lines for oil- impregnated paper (OIP) condenser bushings, resin-impregnated paper (RIP) dry-type condenser bushings, transformer On-load Tap-changers (OLTC), and transformer digitalization products. The bushings are applied to 72.5KV-550kV transformer. On-load Tap-changers are applied to 35KV-362KV transformer and De-energized Tap-changer is applied to 500kV transformer.
The Transformer Service center offers full-life-cycle service to customers including onsite installation and commissioning routine and advanced maintenance, condition assessment, advanced nursing, spare parts provision, field rating enhancement retrofit, digital components retrofit and transformer repairing and replacement which is supported by more than 50 Hitachi Energy transformer manufacturers hybrid with global technology centers. The Transformer Service Center has been focusing on meeting customized requirement by providing superior quality and efficient solutions in order to extend operational life of transformers and relevant components for customers.
