Your Mission:

The Global Trade team within Hitachi Energy is responsible to “ensure trade compliance and to manage trade-related risks and opportunities”. The broad scope of work covers export controls, sanctions and customs compliance, supply chain compliance and supply chain optimization.

How you will make impact:

The Country Trade Compliance Officer (CTCO) oversees, manages, and monitors the implementation of the GTMP (Global Trade Management Program) governance framework at the country level.

  • Ensuring that Hitachi Energy complies with applicable trade laws and regulations.

  • Driving the implementation of the GTMP and its governance framework at country level.

  • Identifying trade-related risks and opportunities and overseeing follow-up actions at country level.

  • Creating country specific trade policies, where local laws or regulations require a country specific or dedicated trade policy.

  • Implementing, managing and monitoring the use of trade-related processes, systems and tools at country level.

  • Providing training on trade related matters, regulations and related requirements at country level.

  • Managing internal and external audits, and interactions with government authorities on trade compliance matters at country level.

  • Supporting the Business Units and Functions in relation to trade-related issues such as sanctions, sanctioned party screening, export control, customs compliance, etc at country level.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in trade, law, economics, international relations or other trade related fields.

  • Min. 10+ years of experience in export controls, sanctions and customs compliance, supply chain compliance and supply chain optimization in an in-house role.

  • Specialist knowledge of EU and Turkey trade regulations.

  • Specialist knowledge of EU and other sanctions.

  • Fluency in written and spoken Turkish and English languages. Other European languages will be a plus.

  • Currently based in Turkey.
