DPS Testing Manager

We are seeking an experienced DPS Testing Manager to lead and oversee all testing activities for Digital Passport System (DPS) at Hitachi, Ltd. This role involves ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our DPS solutions through robust testing strategies and execution.

How you will make an impact

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive testing strategies and plans for DPS initiatives, including functional, integration, performance, and security testing.

• Lead and mentor a team of DPS testers, fostering a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

• Define and establish testing methodologies, tools, and processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and Hitachi's quality standards.

• Oversee the creation and execution of test cases, test scripts, and test data, ensuring thorough coverage and traceability to requirements.

• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development and operations teams to prioritize and resolve issues.

• Implement and manage test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing cycles.

• Monitor and report on testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders and senior management.

• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure testability of DPS solutions.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the testing process, incorporating lessons learned and emerging technologies.

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies related to data processing and quality assurance.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred); ISTQB certification is a plus.

• 8+ years of experience in software testing and QA, including 3+ years in leadership or management roles.

• Strong hands-on experience testing data processing services, data pipelines, ETL processes, and large-scale data systems.

• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and testing types (functional, regression, performance, non-functional).

• Expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, JMeter, Postman), plus SQL and database testing.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and strong leadership

• English at high level. Spanish would be a plus.
