Factory Digitalization and Automation Engineer 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

Join our team in Molinazzo di Monteggio, Switzerland as a Digitalization & Automation Engineer and support our factory's digital transformation by designing, developing, and implementing automation, digitalization, and data-driven improvement solutions.

How you'll make an impact

• Analyze manufacturing and business processes to identify automation and digitalization opportunities

• Design and implement solutions for process automation (industrial or office), digital workflows and paperless processes, as well as production data collection and analysis

• Collaborate with Operations, IT, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams to define functional and technical requirements

• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards (OEE, productivity, quality, downtime) and data acquisition systems (PLC, sensors, MES) 

• Manage technology suppliers and system integrators

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cybersecurity standards

• Train end users and support change management activities

Your background

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering (Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronics, or similar)

• Solid understanding of control logic and process automation, operational process digitalization

• Experience with MES, ERP, or traceability systems

• Knowledge of Python, SQL, Power BI / Tableau, RPA tools (for example: Power Automate) and industrial IoT solutions

• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments

• Technical English (written and spoken) and Italian at least intermediate

• Familiarity of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, IBA) is an advantage
