The Opportunity

As a Tender Specialist – Offshore Projects, you will be responsible for managing the full tendering process for complex power grid and offshore opportunities, ensuring competitive, high-quality and profitable offers aligned with customer requirements and business strategy. 

You will work closely with sales, engineering, project management, supply chain and other expert functions, playing a key role in shaping winning bids and long-term customer relationships. 

How you will make an impact

  • Prepare and manage tenders, bids, estimates and quotations in line with customer requirements and internal targets. 
  • Define optimal technical and commercial solutions, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness and profitability. 
  • Develop and manage the full cost model, including pricing, cash flow and tender budget. 
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional tender teams, ensuring timely and high-quality inputs. 
  • Identify, assess and manage risks and opportunities, leading the Risk Review process according to Hitachi Energy governance. 
  • Support and, when required, lead technical and commercial negotiations with customers. 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, tax, insurance, SCM) to ensure aligned and compliant offers. 
  • Evaluate suppliers and subcontractors in cooperation with Supply Chain. 
  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and handover of won orders to the execution teams. 
  • Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the tendering and sales process.

Your background 

  • Senior professional experience (5+ years) in tendering, sales or commercial roles within project-based environments (power grids, offshore, EPC preferred). 
  • Strong knowledge of commercial terms & conditions and risk management. 
  • Solid understanding of electric power systems
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
  • Strong ownership, customer focus and structured way of working. 
  • Strong commercial and tendering background. 
  • Experience in complex projects and cost-driven decision-making. 
  • Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Langages: Fluent Spanish and English. French is an advantage
