The Opportunity
At Hitachi Energy, we are driven by a clear purpose: advancing a sustainable energy future for all. We are seeking a Senior Sales and Marketing Engineer to join our Service team in Karachi, Pakistan. In this role, the individual will be responsible for developing and executing service sales strategies across assigned market segments and countries within the region. The position involves promoting the full range of High Voltage Services, Transformer Services, and Substation Electrical Services to maximize customer value and drive business growth.
Service is key to success, and as a member of our globally operating Service Team, the selected professional will value independent, diversified, and solution‑oriented work.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Drive service sales and business development across assigned countries and market segments, managing the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract closure.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders through regular engagement, customer visits, and industry participation.
Promote the complete service portfolio and deliver tailored techno‑commercial solutions aligned with customer requirements.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline, forecasts, and market plans using Hitachi Energy tools, while meeting agreed sales targets.
Collaborate with internal sales, technical, operations, finance, and legal teams on proposals, pricing strategies, tendering, and project execution.
Monitor market trends, technological advancements, competitor activity, and customer developments to identify growth, innovation, and differentiation opportunities.
Prepare sales reports and forecasts, manage tender and contract documentation, and support effective decision‑making.
Engage customers to understand buying drivers and influence specifications in line with business objectives.
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, risk management, and tendering processes while promoting Hitachi Energy’s HSE and Sustainability values.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
5–8 years of experience in technical or service sales, application engineering, field service, tendering, pricing, or market analysis within the industrial or energy sectors; experience in service‑based offerings is an advantage.
Experience working within the energy sector, with a solid understanding of industry dynamics.
Strong commercial acumen combined with technical knowledge and negotiation capability.
Ability to work independently with a strategic, results‑oriented approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
Willingness to travel as required.
