The opportunity:

As a Senior Sales Engineer at Hitachi Energy (Thailand) Limited, you will be a key technical and commercial interface with customers, driving sales of our advanced power and grid solutions. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to understand customer needs, propose innovative solutions, and achieve sales targets within the Thai market.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for Hitachi Energy's portfolio of products, systems, and services (e.g., HVDC, substations, grid automation, transformers, power quality solutions).

  • You will act as a primary technical consultant for customers, understanding their challenges, identifying opportunities, and providing expert advice on suitable Hitachi Energy solutions.

  • You will prepare and deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations, proposals, and quotations, clearly articulate value propositions and competitive advantages, collaborating closely with internal teams including product management, engineering, project management, and legal to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

  • You will conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, analyze competitor activities, and stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, negotiate contracts and terms of sale with customers, ensuring favorable outcomes for both the customer and Hitachi Energy.

  • You will build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through regular communication, excellent service, and proactive problem-solving, participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote Hitachi Energy's brand and solutions, provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on sales activities and market conditions to management, ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field. A master’s degree is a plus.

  • Minimum 5 to 7years of progressive experience in sales, technical sales, or applications engineering within the power transmission and distribution industry in Thailand.

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong technical knowledge of power systems, grid technologies, high voltage equipment, and relevant industry standards.

  • Ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into commercially viable solutions. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce). Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within Thailand to meet with customers.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both Thai and English (verbal and written).
