Junior Project Manager Primary Engineering 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

The Opportunity

As a Junior Project Manager in Primary Engineering, you will be responsible for planning and executing gas-insulated switchgear projects from technical detailing to on-site assembly support. You’ll collaborate with customers and internal teams to define solutions, manage communication, and ensure timely delivery within budget. This role offers hands-on involvement in material ordering, quality improvement, and occasional travel for customer meetings or site visits. How you'll make an impact

• Project planning and technical detailing of gas-insulated switchgear, including preparation of all necessary documents for order, fabrication, assembly and customers 

• Discussion of technical solutions with customers and internal stakeholders 

• Management of all technical communication channels internally as well as externally 

• Project execution and ordering of required material including necessary configuration 

• Responsibility for project costs, deadlines & scope of delivery 

• Detailed elaboration of quality cases and improvement processes 

• Technical support of the project until completion of on-site assembly 

• Occasional travel to customer meetings or site visits

Your background

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD software (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD), SAP, and other engineering tools is advantageous

• Able to assist in developing project schedules, tracking progress, and supporting various phases like production, transportation, installation, and testing

• Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to identify and escalate issues effectively

• Comfortable working in international teams and collaborating across departments

• Fluent in English, additional languages (e.g. German, Spanish, French) is a plus
