Warehouse SAP Specialist

The opportunity

You, as a Materials & Logistics Specialist, will be part of Hitachi Energy’s business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will manage procurement, supply, and logistics activities related to manufacturing materials, including materials requirements planning, purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, distribution, and transportation. As an experienced professional, you will apply practical knowledge gained through education and work experience, working independently with general supervision and influencing others through clear communication of facts, policies, and practices.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Overseeing and executing receiving, put-away, and storage of incoming materials and inventory using SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and SAP Materials Management (MM) modules.

• Executing goods issue, goods receipt, staging, picking, and packing using SAP EWM.

• Coordinating picking, packing, and shipping of outgoing materials and orders using SAP EWM.

• Collaborating with procurement, production, and sales teams to align inventory levels with demand, utilizing SAP’s Materials Requirements Planning (MRP).

• Investigating and resolving discrepancies, damages, or issues related to materials.

• Managing inventory control, including cycle counting and physical inventory, leveraging SAP’s inventory management and reporting capabilities.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of material transactions, inventory levels, and warehouse activities in SAP.

• Providing training and guidance to warehouse staff on proper materials handling procedures and the use of SAP tools.

• Staying informed of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in warehouse management, and identifying opportunities to enhance SAP-based processes.

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in inventory and materials management.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications.

• Experience with SAP Materials Management Module and S/4HANA is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required
