Mechanical Engineering Manager

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

• You will be responsible for development of various applications of oil-immersed distribution transformers.

• You will lead mechanical team to complete mechanical designs according to technical specifications.

• You will ensure design to value and develop risk mitigation plans and solutions.

• You will build strong relationships with key customers.

• You will coordinate with production and supply chain team to ensure design to manufacturing.

• You will prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation including design reports / summaries / rules /manuals.

• You will identify improvement opportunities to enhance product quality.

• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• You hold a bachelor Degree or above of Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering.

• Skilled with ProE/Creo 3D CAD modelling and drawing generating.

• Experience in distribution transformer design.

• Familiar with Creo advanced programing and model management.

• Experience on Microsoft office and tools.

• Experience in Simulation or software development.
