We are seeking a Vice President Industry Market Development. The role is remote based with a location preference for Raleigh, NC or Houston, TX.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop and execute a strategic market plan across all Hitachi Energy business units, driving growth and new revenue streams in key oil & gas, mining/metals, etc.
  • Serve as a recognized expert in these industries, shaping solutions and influencing market direction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, policy makers, and industry decision-makers.
  • Represent Hitachi Energy at high-profile trade shows, conferences, and industry events to enhance visibility and market influence.
  • Collaborate with product and portfolio teams to ensure solutions align with industry needs and customer expectations.
  • Monitor and analyze competitive landscapes to drive innovation and partnership opportunities.
  • Develop synergies with other Hitachi operating companies to drive collective success.
  • Lead thought leadership efforts via white papers, digital marketing, and industry advocacy.

Your Background

  • 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Semiconductor, or Mining & Metals, with deep industry expertise.
  • Exceptional understanding and insight of these Industry segments in the US.
  • Possesses a broad and deep network within these Industry segments composed of industry professionals, customers, policy makers (country specific and state levels) and other market players.
  • Established network of professionals, policy makers, and market players.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic vision in heavy industry segments.
  • Proven leadership in solution development and business growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields (Master’s preferred).
  • Candidate must already have work authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Expected travel needs up to 50%, including some international travel.
