Java Developer

We are looking for an experience Java developer who recognizes the importance of both individual and group effort to deliver high quality products that meet customer needs.

As a key contributor within our Global Team, you will directly support the Enterprise Software (ES) product group in delivering the Hitachi Vegetation Manager, a comprehensive solution containing mobile, web, and backend components.

How You Will Make an Impact                      

• Developing a modern, enterprise-grade SaaS solution leveraging a microservice architecture, containerized with Docker and orchestrated by Kubernetes.

• Ensuring high code quality through implementation of best software development practices, including unit tests, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

• Assist in the creation of efficient design documentation and whitepapers.

• Partner with Product Owners and Project Managers to develop technology roadmaps, aligning enablers with feature roadmaps and strategic goals

• Actively support release management processes and provide expert troubleshooting for production issues.

• Collaborating in cross-functional Agile teams, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

• Sharing your knowledge and experience with other team members

Your background

• At least 5 years of experience and very good knowledge in Java development

• Experience with building and designing scalable, high-performance applications

• Proven expertise in a modern technology stack and frameworks, including Spring framework, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, AWS/Azure cloud platforms and services, RESTful APIs, OAuth2.0/OpenID

• Proficiency in testing methodologies, ensuring high code quality and reliability  

• Working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

• Very good written and spoken communication in English
