Strategic Sales Operations Professional

Mission Statement:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Operations Manager to oversee our marketing & sales operations to drive market shares, order intake, and margin goals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

Your Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee Hitachi Energy's internal processes for assessing the market, competitive landscape, strategic plans, and target setting.

  • Effectively execute internal processes across all geographic locations and business units.

  • Define and optimize existing internal processes to enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Implement continuous process improvements based on lessons learned.

  • Provide insights by understanding market trends and competitive situations.

  • Coordinate with various stakeholders (BUs, Regions, Industry network leaders, strategy and product development teams) for market sizing and order intake potential assessment.

  • Support ad hoc requests from executive and management teams.

  • Establish sales standards and manage budgetary controls.

  • Achieve business results through multi-functional collaboration.

  • Manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision.

  • Coach and review the work of business analysts and other team members.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Marketing and Sales, or Business Development.

  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Anaplan, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Sales BI, and Power BI.

  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce.com is advantageous.

  • Strong English language skills, both written and spoken.

  • Good knowledge of marketing and sales processes, including market analysis, competitive landscape, and budgeting processes.

  • Understanding of supply-demand balancing.

  • Experience in process improvement and/or project management.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.

  • Excellent planning and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities under time pressure.

  • Passion for learning new things and solving problems in unconventional ways.

  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of business operations.

  • Intercultural sensitivity and effectiveness, with the ability to network and collaborate across businesses and geographies.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
