Transformer Components Business Developer

We are looking for an experienced professional to promote our Transformer Measuring and Safety Devices product portfolio along with non-condenser core bushings and de-energized tap changers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sales, marketing and business development regarding our products produced in our factories in Turkey and USA. This role can be based in Spain, Italy or Poland. Your scope will regard mainly Distribution Transformer OEMs and Product Distributors in Europe.

Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Territory Sales and Marketing managers on promoting Measuring and Safety devices, non-condenser bushings as well as de-energized tap changers (DETC) within Europe. Accountable for delivering OR budget for direct customers
  • Liaise with our factories in Turkey and USA in order to provide quotations and proper technical support. Manage product customization projects.
  • Conduct technical trainings for all types of customers (OEMs, EPCs, utilities, distributors)
  • Support all promotional Marketing events in Europe and facilitate the availability of product samples
  • Liaise with utilities in order to homologate and have the product portfolio approved, clarify tender specifications
  • Feeding of Market Intelligence to our components supply factories and to Global Product Group
  • Support the business between components supply factories and Hitachi Energy Transformer Units in Europe
  • Collaborate with Hitachi Energy Service and also with 3rd party service companies on service projects
  • Create synergies between all I&C supply factories in order to increase sales volumes per project
  • Willingness to travel for international business trips within Europe (up to 50%)

Your background:

  • Degree (Bachelor or Master) in a technical discipline, ideally Electrical or Mechanical engineering plus further qualification in business administration
  • More than 5 years of experience in technical sales and marketing within a similar product portfolio is essential
  • Market knowledge mainly in the field of distribution transformers, as well as in the field of Power Transformers
  • Experience in business development, account management and cross-selling across systems, solutions, products and service categories.
  • Understanding of contract negotiation, risk management and commercial and legal terms.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, customer-focused mindset. Ability to establish and manage long-term customer relationships. Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office and CRM, preferably Salesforce
  • Business fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish, Italian, German or Polish will be considered an advantage.
