IT Application Manager

The opportunity:
 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Application Manager to join our team in the Global Service Delivery (GSD) domain. As an IT Application Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our IT applications and their ecosystems. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that our technology solutions align with business objectives.


How you’ll make an impact:
 

• Ensure applications align with IT Enterprise Architecture and Global IT Domains.
• Maintain proper master service agreements for in scope third party applications.
• Update applications CMDB using ServiceNow capabilities and ensure accurate, asset information and complete all related assessments.
• Own and manage the local instance of global applications backup/extract and working closely with global IT teams to ensure 100% compliance with backup policies and standards & regulations.
• Fulfill local security requirements and perform activities required by Internal Controls (ICoFR, BOA-relevant applications).
• Act as L1/L2 support for global application issues & Critical month/Year – end activities.
• Conduct periodic audits and health checks to ensure application stability and adherence to standards.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL processes for change, incident, and problem management.
• Support vulnerability management services to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop remediation strategies (e.g., patching).
• Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging threats to enhance vulnerability management and ensure compliance with global cybersecurity standards.
• Perform risk assessments for in-scope applications.
• Ensure effective service delivery, including incident and request management, aligned with organizational standards.
• Monitor application health and workflows; manage onboarding of new application services.
• Prepare internal documentation (solution design, application information
  documents, user guides).
• Manage application decommissioning following lifecycle management checklists.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:
 

• Should have bachelor’s degree B.E/B. Tech in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Must have 5+ years of proven experience as an IT Application Manager or in a similar role with Custom, COTS, and SaaS applications.
• Experience with functional domain where the application belongs to. (e.g. Finance, HR, Government & Institutional Relations, Real Estate, Internal Audits, Risk & Internal Control, Legal & Integrity).
• Understanding software development lifecycles.
• Strong ability to understand context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, databases, and ITSM tools (ServiceNow).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and eagerness to learn.
• Knowledge of ITIL concepts and cybersecurity best practice.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
