System Engineer

The opportunity: 

Engineering authority in System Studies for projects/tenders with low to high complexity for Flexible A.C. Transmission Systems (FACTS) Technology aligned with Power Conversion Solutions (PCS) Business. Execution of system study related assignments on projects/tender with cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications and quality standards. Taking System Studies Engineering responsibility during project execution and work as Project Engineer. Ensure engineering processes are followed as well as close collaboration with other Engineering teams, Sales and Project Management.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Performing and taking responsibility for power system modelling and simulation studies incorporating FACTS technology.

• Supporting system design of power electronic converter systems (FACTS) such as Static Compensators (STATCOMs), Static Frequency Converters (SFC) and others during tender stage and continued during project execution with system and performance studies.

• Modelling of power systems, simulations (e.g., load flow, RMS type simulations, transient EMTP type simulations, harmonics, …), system optimizations as well as basic control concept definitions and documentation of modelling and studies, belong to your activities.

• Supporting Model development and validating with real site measurements or other reference measurements.

• Ensuring knowhow within System Engineering is continuously shared, updated, expanded, and maintained within team. 

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• PhD in Power Systems and/or with relevant work experience of 1-3 years, or M. Tech, Power Systems and/or with relevant work experience of 2-5 years, or B.E/B. Tech, Electrical Engineering and/or with relevant work experience of 5-10 years.

• Knowledge on Simulation tools like PSCAD/PSSE/MATLAB/DIgSILENT. Knowledge on International standards (i.e., IEEE/IEC/GIGRE).

• Experience with .dll model integration into different simulation software environments are a plus. 

• Individual contributor using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects /challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions. 

• Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization. Works independently, applying established standards.

• Dynamic and Proactive, willing to grow in the organization. Team player, ready to play the role across the different countries.

• Taking ownership of assignment entrusted. 

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required and Turkish is preferred.
