The opportunity

At Hitachi Energy in Rotterdam, you will help shape the growth of our business in the Netherlands. As a Senior Key Account Manager, you lead relationships with key customers and open new strategic accounts. You work with clients who operate in the energy transition, industry, and infrastructure sectors. You play a central role in helping them adopt sustainable, reliable, and future‑ready solutions.

In this role, you take our sales efforts to the next level. You own the account strategy, develop long-term partnerships, and identify new opportunities. You bring commercial insight, market awareness, and a strong passion for customer success. You enjoy working in a diverse, collaborative team and influencing both internal and external stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial leader who is ready to make an impact—growing accounts, expanding our presence, and driving value across the energy sector. You will grow your skills in strategic account management, leadership, and customer engagement while contributing to a more sustainable energy system.

How you’ll make an impact

  • You develop and execute long-term account plans for key customers.

  • You grow relationships and identify new opportunities across the Netherlands.

  • You bring new accounts into the portfolio and expand our presence.

  • You lead the full sales process from opportunity to contract.

  • You coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver winning solutions.

  • You manage customer issues and ensure a high-quality experience.

  • You track pipeline, revenue, and margin and adjust plans when needed.

  • You monitor market trends and share insights with the business.

Your background

  • You hold a Master’s degree from a recognized university.

  • You have experience in account or key account management in the energy sector (nice to have), or any relevant sector

  • You have a strong track record of developing customers and winning new business.

  • You bring commercial skills in negotiation, forecasting, and value-based selling.

  • You speak Dutch and English fluently.

  • You have a clear vision on how to develop a market, a business strategy and managing Key Account portfolio.
