Associate Project Engineer - Substation Automation System

The opportunity:
Perform engineering duties which require application of engineering principles and knowledge of substation automation design

How you’ll make an impact: 

• Preparation of engineering documentation such as block diagrams, general arrangement (GA) drawings, schematic and interface drawings, bill of materials, IED order codes, and signal I/O schedules for various SCADA projects including SAS, RTU, and cybersecurity systems.
• Preparation of Functional design documents: Technical specification, General Arrangements drawing, Product selection, Scada Overview drawings.
• Experience in preparing manufacturing documentation including apparatus lists, wiring reports, label lists, detailed assembly instructions, and revision difference lists for SCADA cabinets, RTUs,  boxes, and related equipment.
• Preparation of Cable Documents: Should Prepare pre-cable lists and detailed cable schedules for SCADA equipment, fiber optic cables, and all site coordination cables.
• Work with project team to fully develop Plant connection diagram with complete integration and coordination of relays, Network Switches, AC/DC Systems, Networking with SCADA.
• Should able to identify customer requirements by analyzing specifications and tender proposals, conducting review meetings with superiors, and documenting available and pending inputs along with associated risks.
• Responsible for preparing Engineering Work plan and Budget estimates for the scope assigned. 
• Develop the plant connection diagram with support of suitable design tools and send for validation to customers and prepare a plan for comments follow up and approval.
• To actively participate in design review , lessons learnt process , Check points preparation.
• To play an integral part in team overall success and development of work process. 
• Should be ready for travel and support project team if necessary.
• To provide regular concise progress to project management, detailing any current and potential issues that may affect project or cost. 
• To work closely with and provide progress information to Project managers ensure timely delivery of all project milestone. 
• Take responsibility for the quality & accuracy of work product. 

Your Background:

• B.E/B.TECH - Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation & Control / Electrical.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Automation design of high voltage (11 - 765kV) substations including: 
• Knowledge of automation principles and practices involving servers, gateways, network switches, and essential substation automation equipment.
• Strong understanding of SCADA fundamentals, including core system concepts and architecture.
• Knowledge and understanding of substation components and their functions.
• Knowledge of the engineering documentation and drawings necessary to complete substation automation design projects.
• Basic Knowledge on RTU Equipment’s and their functioning.
• Basic understanding of MicroSCADA systems, GPS devices, their functionalities, and various communication protocols, along with awareness of current industry trends.
• Knowledge of Symbol standards and scheme presentation of IEC standards. 
• Knowledge on Design tools like E3 or AutoCAD and have worked in that for minimum 2 years. 
• Strong Analytical, Problem solving and should have communication skills
