General Project Management Senior Professional

The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic General Project Management Senior Professional to join our team. In this role you will be leading and overseeing complex projects from initiation to successful completion. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, stakeholder communication, and ensuring projects align with business objectives and are delivered on time and within budget. You will be leading the planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of multiple, large-scale, and complex projects across various Hitachi business units.

How you’ll make an impact            

• Defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
• Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
• Overseeing and managing project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including internal departments, clients, vendors, and senior leadership.
• Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with all project participants, fostering collaboration and transparency.
• Communicating project status, risks, issues, and progress effectively and regularly through presentations, reports, and meetings.
• Conducting post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial targets are met.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements within project management frameworks.
• You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background             

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic or a related field Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management in HV, EHV substation, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead project management role for complex, large-scale projects.
• Proven experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $5M and cross-functional teams of 15+ individuals.
• Demonstrated experience in various project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and ability to adapt based on project needs.
• Expertise in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Primavera P6).
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
