The Opportunity

In our Global Product Group – Power Consulting, we are constantly evolving and improving our offerings and solutions to be able to offer our customers the full benefit of our consultancy offering, that would empower our global customers to improve network performance, mitigate risks, optimize investment decisions and drive financial savings in a sustainable way.     

As the Strategy Implementation lead for the Power Consulting Product Manager and Business Development organization, you are responsible for architecting, deploying, and continuously improving the business development function worldwide. Your mission is to gather inside out and outside in insights, ie work jointly with the Segment Lead Groups and Hitachi Energy stakeholders, to establish and operationalize a unified global strategy ensuring that business models, internal and external partnerships, portfolio approaches, and segment strategies are robust, scalable, and locally adaptable. You drive together with Portfolio Manager, Sales Managers, Segment Lead Groups and Product Managers at Power Consulting, maintain rigorous action tracking, and coordinate all key stakeholders across regions and functions to deliver on the organization’s growth ambitions. Additionally, you oversee the Price responsibility, including market analysis on market prices in different regions for our portfolio ensuring consistency and targeting strategic prices.

How you’ll make an impact

  • You work with the Segments Leads Group, Product Managers, regional Sales team, Global Portfolio Manager and Global Marketing and Sales Manager to further develop our Business Development and Sales strategy and promote our strategy to ensure that we best serve our customer’s needs.  
  • You will participate in internal and external partnership meetings with key stakeholders and will drive the agreement of global frames between the partners.
  • You will oversee that these agreements are followed up and maintained.
  • You will analyze and define the price setting of our portfolio in different regions to ensure greater hit rates in terms of pricing. These outputs will need to be communicated and coordinated to the regional Sales team, Segment Lead Groups, Product managers and Unit managers.

Your background

  • A degree in Engineering, Business or Management or other relevant subjects
  • Proven experience in Sales, Marketing or Operations roles with similar responsibilities and experience within the Electrical and Power Industry
  • Experience in meeting customers at all Management and Operative levels, building confidence to present the company portfolio while working on solutions
  • Travel – up to 50%
  • Experiences in working in a multicultural environment, across different regions.
  •  A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
